Bradford North was formed on Tuesday 1st April 2004 by the uniting of Bradford East and Bradford West Scout Districts as part of the rationalisation of the Scout Districts.
The District Commissioner is John Reynolds, who is actively involved in all aspects of the Districts, as well as having a major role at Blackhills Scout campsite.
The Bradford North District encompasses a wide area, with Groups as far apart as Thornton to Greengates. It also has several Explorer and Network groups.
The District Badge indicates the history of the groups within the Bradford North District, with both East and West been shown facing North. The District also has its own necker, which is in the colours of grey and orange.
